Hi guys, I just want to add on to the stomp article (the article on JJC wasting water). It's not in the main article, but please take a look at the comments! I was like oh god, how can those JJC students say such things about their own school? They were saying dreadful comments to their own school! Although the part on wasting water was definitely wrong, but they should not say those crude things to their own school - they are still part of the school. They should be united as one, and forgive and forget. As long as you did something wrong, once you apologise, everything will be resolved. (FYI, there was one JJC student who posted the scene on youtube! But thankfully, it has been taken down already.)

The message I'm trying to convey is, although you may dislike your school, your group/committee/society or etc (HOPEFULLY NOT~!) you must still like it, because you were once there, and till eternity ends, you'll always be part of it. (I don't know where I saw this phrase, it says "once a saint, always a saint")

Wells! Sorry for the nagging! That's just my view. Ha Ha. Any one wants comment? Feel free to voice them out in the tagboard! Thank you! (but don't fire me! Ha Ha.)

The birthday babies - Shi Hui and Xin Ren!

-----

YO GUYS! The first five photos were taken last Sunday, during the morning performance at Yew Tee CC's Hall. The sixth to eighth photos were taken last Sunday too, during the combined performance with GPVCCCO. And the rest were taken TODAY!

Yes! We celebrated the February babies' birthdays. Actually Pei Yu's one too, but too bad she didn't come! Oh yah! We can put her slice of cake into the refrigerator and give to it her next Saturday right!! Oops forgot! But never mind! Anyway, happy birthday peiyu!

Today, we practised DOREAMON! Yes, that's the theme song! I think this is the edition, because I could not hear it very clearly from where I was sitting. But anyways, hope you guys will like it~ =) Leonard! You must go learn how to sing, we will hold one karaoke session during the concert, just for you! Go learn from Rebecca =D GO DOREAMON!

Apart from Doreamon, we practised other songs like 旱天雷 and other old songs like Rhythm and etc.

After the practise we had table games, but...... Not many people played? Ha Ha. Mr Wong demonstrated how to tie the strings on the erhu, and how to tie the "qian jin"! Wow, he's got great skills eh =D

Well, that's about it, the response from the colour code today wasn't great, so no pictures! Next week is Rebecca's solo recital! Please go watch! And there will be a performance next week too, check the coming soon column for more. Well, that's that! Good bye guys!

P.S: heard that Hui Chi was sick today - get well soon Hui Chi!!

Hello guys! Here's a lame joke I came across this morning! Hope you guys like it. Happy reading!

Ways to freak out your hospital bed members

- Pretend to talk while pretending to be asleep
- Learn to levitate. While your roommate is looking away, float up and out of your seat. When he turns to look, fall backwards down and grin.
- Speak in tongues.
- Move your roommate's personal effects around. Start subtlely. Gradually work up to big things, and eventually glue everything he owns to the celling.
- Walk and talk backwards.
- Collect all your urine in a small jug.
- Fake a heart attack. When your roommate gets the paramedics to come, pretend nothing happened.
- Smile. All the time.
- Shoot rubber bands at your roommate whole his back is turned, and then look away quickly.
- Arrange thirteen toothbrushes of different colours on your dresser. Refuse to discuss them.
- Shave one eyebrow.
- Listen to radio static.
- Cry a lot.
- If you get in before your roommate, go to sleep in his bed.
- Create an imaginary cat for a pet. Talk to it every night, act like you're holding it, keep a litter box under your desk. After two weeks, say that your cat is missing. Put up signs in your dorm, blame your roommate.
- Stare at your roommate for five minutes out of every hour. Don't say anything, just stare.
- Leave your used tissues on his bed.

See you guys at Yew Tee at three later! Remember the colour code is brown~ Bye! =D

the colour code for this week is brown =)! maroon / orange / black / light brown is okay too.
try to wear any nearest colour possible because we can finally take photos back in our YTCC room~

here's some pictures my friend sent me, and I would like to share them with you guys! Amazing eh? Enjoy!

Julian Beever's art is extremley unique and very amazing. This guy makes his paintings on the footpaths and pavements, but when you look at them from a certain angle, they appear to be 3D!And in some cases they are just lifelike!

Looks like someone put a 3D globe in the middle of the road ! But this is actually painted on the roadin such a strerched manner that when viewed from this angle, It look 3D!

Look at the same painting from a different angle -

Tune in for more interesting pictures in the next post! (from now on I will try to post as often as I can, so hopefully you guys can visit the blog more often to keep it alive =D)
see you this Saturday at YT!! =)

----------

Welcome to Yew Tee Community Club Chinese Orchestra's blogger. Yew Tee Community Club Chinese Orchestra was set up in April 2003, with the support and sponsorship of, then Minister of Transport, Member of Parliament Mr Yeo Cheow Tong. The pioneer group of 25 youth musicians soon grew to become a promising youth Orchestra of 60 young music talents. Under the baton of Mr Endrey Wong, the Yew Tee CC Chinese Orchestra gets together for weekly practices on Saturdays. In the past six years, the group has been a familiar sight at numerous community events. Its annual Community Concerts were always looked forward to and enjoyed by many Yew Tee residents. Bi-annual ticketed public concerts had also sold well. In December 2005, the Yew Tee CC Chinese Orchestra launched its quarterly Recital Series, with the dual aim of training and preparing its soloists for bigger concerts, and bringing Chinese Orchestra music in smaller but more regular doses to the community. This Recital Series is still going strong. The success of the Recital Series prompted the Orchestra to launch its Saturday Afternoon Delights on 3 January 2009. This regular 15-minutes solo or small ensemble performances at the Atrium of the Yew Tee Community Club, before the Orchestra’s weekly practices, have brought much joy to residents attending activities or courses at the CC. Initiated by members themselves, the Yew Tee CC Chinese Orchestra had also started its own Community Involvement Programme in 2005, with performances and interactions at Homes for the Elderly and Senior Activities Centres, including a very meaningful session at the Dover Park Hospice during the Mid-Auntumn Festival in 2008. Invitations for guest-performances such as the Gek Poh Ville 10th Anniversary Concert 17 February 2008, and local music exchange programmes such as the Soka Chinese Music Exchange Concert 2006, had given members of the Yew Tee CC Chinese Orchestra local exposure beyond Yew Tee. In June 2008, the Orchestra held music exchanges with schools in Taiping, Perak and Georgetown, Penang. This learning journey to Malaysia benefited our members in many ways. Although young and inexperienced, the Yew Tee CC Chinese Orchestra had participated in the bi-annual National Chinese Music Competition organised by the National Arts Council, in 2004, 2006 and 2008. Although the group did not win at these competitions, comments from the judges were encouraging. The Yew Tee Community Club Chinese Orchestra had a very active and fulfilling first five years. It has succeeded in bringing traditional Chinese music to the neighbourhood, and helped bring more vibrancy to the community. Amongst the members, sense of commitments and bonds are strong, and morale is high. The challenge now is to nurture members’ commitments and morale, and continually develop and grow this group of young and promising music talents .
